Reason #81

I have to say, it blows my mind that there are ANY former Clinton voters considering a vote for McCain. I know this group is a tiny minority, but I have a hard time understanding how anyone who really believed in Clinton’s platform could consider a vote for McCain. Likewise for those considering “protest” votes for third party candidates, which are, in effect, a vote for McCain, since they would normally have gone to a Democrat. I’m particularly baffled by former Clinton voters who claim that they want to vote for McCain to protest sexism… What? McCain is incredibly sexist, as is his platform. His presidency would result in disaster for millions of women. True, those women would probably not be white, middle-class women, who could afford a trip to another state for an abortion and wouldn’t be the ones getting bombed. But in my version of feminism, we care about all women.
